How can we continue with training during a pandemic?
Since the start of lockdown I have moved to delivering all my training on-line.
I am working with members and officers in local government across the country and have now presented dozens of successful virtual training sessions. I have worked with platforms including MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Go To Meeting, and Lifesize. Of course there are differences and challenges! But these can be overcome.
I have written an article about virtual training (published first in Local Government Lawyer).
I can run any course mentioned here on the website through a virtual platform or can design any governance related topic you want to be delivered remotely – just contact me for more details! I am sure that remote training is here to stay, even when we are able to meet face-to-face; but it will give us another set of options. I have also developed a number of sessions for members focused specifically on working remotely and dealing with the current crisis:
- e democracy – working effectively through remote meetings
- Chairing Remote Meetings – challenges and skills
- Roles of members and officers in the pandemic
Contact me for more details of these sessions.
